Appreciated for his profound and all-encompassing understanding of the music production process, Abdissa “Mamba” Assefa is one of Finland’s most trusted Mixing and Recording engineers. Known as a percussionist, the Ethiopian-born boasts an extensive career of more than 30 years in music in a wide range of roles, from live and recording musicianship and music production to studio engineering. Mamba’s work as a recording and mixing engineer has been awarded the Best Jazz Album four times in the Finnish Emma Awards (IFPI) and nominated several times more, also in Ethno and Hip Hop categories.

Mamba has mixed and recorded artists such as Redrama, Asa, Pirkka-Pekka Petelius, J. Karjalainen, Lauri Tähkä ja Revohka, Steve´n´Seagulls, Timo Lassy Band, Anna Puu, Ricky Tick Big Band, Paleface, Mopo, Jimi Tenor, Sami Saari, Ursus Factory, WÖYH!, GG Caravan, and many more.
